ROTTERDAM (ROZENBURG)

The Rotterdam plant in The Netherlands is one of two chemical conversion plants operated by Climax Molybdenum Company, a subsidiary of Freeport-McMoRan. The plant is a short distance from Rotterdam harbor and its associated and diverse transportation network serving Europe. Climax Molybdenum B.V., which started production in 1965, delivers technical molybdic oxide, ammonium molybdate and pure molybdic oxide to customers worldwide. The Rotterdam plant is dedicated to being the highest quality molybdenum chemicals producer. Since 1993, the plant has been certified to the ISO 9001 International Quality Standard. In 2004, the certification to ISO 14001 International Environmental Standard was received, and in 2005 to the OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety Standard, which was transferred to ISO 45001 in 2019. The plant has been awarded the Molybdenum Mark for responsible production in 2023.
